Tattered Essence, the story of a young girl as she experiences a series of traumatic events, is designed to provoke thought, inspiration, devotion and encouragement among people everywhere – especially the lost, tormented, and misguided young women of the world.

Sydney Masters, the story’s protagonist, seeks not to share a story of hardship, but rather to share her story of perseverance, tolerance, capability and finally, of discovering her own self-worth. After being abducted as a child Sydney's life spirals out of control. Through the grace of God and by her own determination, Sydney’s myriad setbacks are never permanent, but rather provide the stepping stones used to find her way towards greater faith, increased appreciation of life and most importantly, to experience and to extend godly love.

Written in a refreshingly honest voice, Sydney tells her story as no one else can. As you read, you travel alongside her as she experiences setback, triumphs, fear, elation and finally – peace.
